About the Role Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a dependable and motivated Transport / Delivery Driver to support our Meals on Wheels operations. This position combines meal transportation and delivery with hands-on kitchen support. Responsibilities include safely transporting prepared meals to designated locations, assisting with meal preparation and packaging, and maintaining food safety and quality standards. Load, secure, transport, and unload meals while maintaining proper food temperatures and safety standards. Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure accurate and timely deliveries. Verify meal counts, delivery quantities, and order accuracy. Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation, meal assembly, portioning, and packaging. Prepare and organize meals for distribution according to established menus and portion guidelines. Assist with stocking supplies, organizing inventory, and maintaining kitchen workstations. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, food preparation areas, and delivery vehicles. Complete delivery documentation and communicate shortages, delays, or other concerns to management. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Provide additional kitchen and dining support as needed to ensure smooth daily operations. Required Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old to meet applicable DOT requirements. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Previous delivery, transportation, food service, or kitchen experience preferred. Basic understanding of food preparation, food handling, and sanitation procedures. Ability to safely load, transport, and unload prepared meals and supplies. Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a kitchen team. Ability to follow established recipes, portion guidelines, delivery routes, and schedules. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and regularly bend, stoop, reach, and stand throughout the workday. Must be able to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
