Delivery Driver

August First is a beloved bakery and café rooted in the Burlington community, known for scratch-made baked goods and a deep commitment to quality and craft. We're looking for a dedicated, reliable Delivery Driver to join our team and help us get our bread where it needs to go — on time, every time, and with the care our product deserves. What You'll Do: Manage Bread Delivery Slice, bag, label, and prepare all breads for delivery and wholesale distribution Deliver to the kitchen, café retail area, and wholesale accounts on expected timelines Load and drive the delivery van to each stop, check bread in properly, and merchandise product on wholesale shelves to maximize sales Prepare and reconcile daily invoices for wholesale accounts Keep Operations Running Smoothly Work closely with the Bakery Manager to determine wholesale pars and manage packaging inventory Coordinate with bread bakers on timing to ensure seamless, on-schedule delivery Transfer ingredients within the restaurant group as needed Step in to assist pastry bakers and other team members when needed, promoting a cohesive and supportive work environment Maintain Standards & Represent August First Act as an ambassador for August First while driving and within wholesale accounts Maintain a clean, organized delivery area and perform end-of-day cleaning as needed Keep the delivery vehicle serviced, fueled, and ready — including for after-hours catering events What We're Looking For Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in hospitality or food service Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with ease A calm, professional approach to interpersonal situations — with guests and teammates alike Compensation & Benefits Hourly position — competitive pay based on experience Free baked goods (yes, really) Shift meals Great coffee, always Why August First?
