Cannabis Delivery Driver — Vehicle Provided Location: Sacramento, CA Department: Delivery Reports To: Delivery Manager Employment Type: Part-Time, with potential to move to Full-Time Pay: $17.00 per hour Compensation: $17/hr + 100% of tips + 35% employee discount FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Work Location: In person About the Role Kolas is hiring Cannabis Delivery Drivers to join our fast-paced delivery team. This is more than a traditional driving position. In addition to safely delivering customer orders, Delivery Drivers may be responsible for operating independently from a company delivery van stocked with product. Depending on the assigned delivery workflow, drivers may take customer orders, create orders in the POS system, fulfill and verify their own orders, route deliveries, process payments, and complete the entire customer transaction from order placement through delivery. Drivers must be comfortable working independently, making sound decisions, handling cannabis inventory responsibly, following digital workflows accurately, and maintaining strict compliance with all company and regulatory requirements. Provide timely, professional, and customer-focused delivery service. Verify customer identity and eligibility at the point of delivery. Follow all required ID-verification and delivery procedures without shortcuts. Handle cash and mobile/digital payment transactions accurately. Communicate professionally with customers by phone, text, and in person. Answer customer questions and address routine concerns professionally. Escalate customer, payment, compliance, safety, or delivery concerns to Dispatch or Management when appropriate. Follow assigned delivery routes and communicate significant delays or necessary deviations. Maintain a clean, professional appearance while representing Kolas. Independent / Dynamic Delivery Operations When assigned to Dynamic Delivery or another independent delivery workflow, the Delivery Driver may be responsible for independently managing the full order cycle from the delivery van. Responsibilities may include: Work independently from a company van while maintaining control and accountability for cannabis products and company property. Maintain awareness of the product inventory assigned to the vehicle. Respond to and communicate with customers regarding delivery needs. Take customer orders and accurately create orders in the POS system. Review product availability and assist customers with available products when appropriate. Fulfill your own customer orders from inventory assigned to the delivery vehicle. Verify the correct product, quantity, and order details before completing the transaction. Stage and organize orders securely within the vehicle. Plan and route your own deliveries using approved routing and dispatch systems. Adjust routing appropriately based on new orders, traffic, delivery windows, or operational direction. Process payments accurately and complete all required delivery documentation. Maintain accurate inventory control and product accountability while working independently. Follow all company procedures related to product security, vehicle security, customer eligibility, payments, and order completion. Communicate with Dispatch or Management when assistance, approval, or escalation is required.
