Delivery Driver - Auto Parts

Delivery Drive Position Summary The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting recycled automotive parts to customers, shops, and distribution points. Duties include loading/unloading parts, verifying orders, completing delivery documentation, and assisting with warehouse or shipping tasks when not driving. Essential Duties & Responsibilities · Deliver automotive parts on scheduled routes in a safe and professional manner. · Load and unload parts using proper lifting techniques and equipment. · Verify order accuracy against invoices or packing slips. · Obtain customer signatures and required delivery documentation. · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized delivery vehicle. · Provide friendly, professional customer service at delivery sites. · Support shipping and warehouse tasks when not driving. · Assist with staging, packaging, palletizing, and labeling orders. · Follow all DOT, company, and yard safety rules and PPE requirements. · Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues. Qualifications · Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record with experience driving a box truck. · Current DOT Physical card · Ability to operate company delivery vehicles (pickup, van, or box truck). · Strong customer service and communication skills. · Ability to lift 50–75 lbs repeatedly. · Basic knowledge of automotive parts or willingness to learn. · Ability to read maps, follow GPS, and complete route documentation. · Forklift certification preferred but not required. Physical Requirements · Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and loading/unloading parts. · Ability to secure loads and use tie-downs or pallet jacks. · Ability to sit for extended periods when driving. · Work in outdoor conditions when loading/unloading. Work Environment · Combination of driving, warehouse, and outdoor yard environments. · Exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, oil/grease, and metal parts. · Required PPE includes gloves, steel-toe boots, and safety glasses.
