Carter TradewaysJob Summary Carter Tradeways is seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our growing team. This position involves transporting a variety of large and bulky products, including household appliances, while ensuring every delivery is completed safely, efficiently, and with a customer-first mindset. Candidates must be comfortable operating a 26ft box truck, managing multi-stop routes, and working closely with a helper to provide professional delivery experience. Routes average approximately 220 miles per day and may include extended travel between delivery locations, in-home deliveries, product placement, and appliance installations when required. We're looking for dependable individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a two-man crew. If you take pride in your work, value customer satisfaction, and maintain a professional attitude, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Safely operate a 26ft box truck on assigned routes. Complete residential and commercial deliveries in a safe and timely manner. Load, secure, transport, and unload products properly. Inspect all products before loading and delivery to ensure they are damage-free. Work efficiently with a helper to complete daily routes and scheduled stops. Maintain route schedules while delivering excellent customer service. Utilize dollies, straps, hand trucks, and moving equipment safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional delivery vehicle. Follow all company safety procedures and delivery protocols. Maintain accurate communication regarding route progress and delivery status. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience operating a 26ft box truck. Experience with appliance delivery and installation. Valid state-issued driver’s license. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). Ability to pass: Criminal background check MVR screening Drug screening test Strong work ethic and reliability. Excellent attention to detail. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a two-man crew environment. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Professional appearance and demeanor. Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, dollies, straps, and hand trucks. Must provide own tools. Ability to safely lift and maneuver products weighing 75–400 lbs with proper equipment and team assistance. Compensation Driver Rate: $150 - $180 per day Weekly Pay (First two weeks heldback) Full-time routes (6 days/week, some Saturdays required) 1099 Independent Contractor Position Pay: $150.00 - $180.00 per day Benefits: On-the-job training Paid training Work Location: In person
