DBA Sahara Courier Location: Detroit Metro, Michigan Position Type: Independent Contractor Service Area: Detroit and surrounding areas About Sahara Courier Sahara Courier provides delivery and logistics services within a 50-mile radius of Detroit, Michigan, covering Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw counties. We are looking to connect with reliable, professional independent contractor drivers who can support scheduled deliveries and time-sensitive transportation needs. Responsibilities Complete assigned delivery routes and scheduled pickups. Transport packages and other approved delivery items safely and on time. Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding route progress and delivery issues. Submit proof of delivery and required documentation. Follow customer instructions, applicable transportation requirements, and company procedures. Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers and delivery locations. Qualifications Valid Michigan driver's license, Class C or higher as applicable to the vehicle and assignment. Acceptable driving record and motor vehicle record (MVR). Reliable transportation appropriate for assigned routes. Ability to follow delivery instructions and communicate effectively. Required documents, insurance, and vehicle qualifications must be met before the first dispatch. Compensation Compensation is based on completed deliveries and the assigned service type: Standard same-day delivery: $52 per completed delivery. Two-hour express delivery: $78 per completed delivery. STAT or urgent medical delivery: $97.50–$130, depending on the assignment. Additional stops after the first stop: $16.25 per stop. Rates and assignment details will be confirmed before acceptance. Actual earnings depend on available assignments, completed deliveries, and applicable expenses. Payment Payments are issued every Friday through direct deposit or Zelle, subject to the applicable contractor agreement and payment requirements. Important Classification Notice This is an independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position. Contractors are responsible for their applicable taxes, operating expenses, and other obligations under their agreement.
