Delivery Driver

Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building rapport through excellent customer relationship skills. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Maintain accurate delivery records, route logs, and inventory documentation while ensuring compliance with all safety standards. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a valid driver’s license suitable for the vehicle type used. Familiarity with route driving, merchandising, and retail store operations is highly desirable. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, inventory management, and basic financial transactions. Demonstrated ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills for client interaction. Knowledge of DOT regulations, heavy lifting safety practices, and organizational skills necessary for route planning and delivery management. Previous experience in sales or upselling within a retail or service environment is a plus. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards.
