Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage and injury. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building rapport and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety standards are met. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation, with a clean driving record. Familiarity with route driving, retail store operations, or merchandising is highly desirable. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, basic inventory management, and sales transactions. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and client relationship building. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance standards related to commercial truck driving. Prior experience in customer service or retail environments that emphasizes organizational skills and sales aptitude.
