Delivery Driver

Overview Campbell Contract Carriers inc is a contractor for FedEx. We operate in the Staunton and Stuart’s Draft area. As a Delivery Driver, you’ll transport products safely and reliably while creating a positive customer experience. You’ll plan and follow delivery routes and communicate with customers. This role combines driving, customer service, and hands-on work, including proper delivery and pickup of packages. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries and helpful customer interactions make it easier for customers to receive and enjoy their purchases. Duties Drive assigned routes and transport products using appropriate vehicles, including commercial trucks when required. Follow applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safe driving practices. Load, unload, and move products using safe lifting practices; perform heavy lifting as needed. Communicate delivery updates, resolve routine customer questions, proper use of equipment to allow for real time tracking of packages. Qualifications Required: Valid driving credentials appropriate to the vehicle and role; safe driving habits and the ability to follow route instructions. Required: Customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to perform physical duties, including heavy lifting, up to 150lbs unassisted using a hand truck, while following safe lifting practices. Preferred: Commercial driving or commercial truck driving experience, automobile transportation experience, familiarity with DOT regulations, and customer relationship-building experience are also valued.
