Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple customer locations. Load, unload, and transport merchandise with attention to heavy lifting safety standards. Communicate professionally with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build strong customer relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, utilizing sales techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving or delivery roles, preferably within retail or wholesale environments. Familiarity with pricing strategies, merchandising, and client communication is highly desirable. Strong math skills for handling transactions, measurements, and basic calculations. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently. Excellent communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively. Knowledge of DOT regulations, route driving, automobile transportation, and sales techniques is a plus. Prior retail store experience or customer service background will be advantageous in building rapport with clients.
