Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at each destination. Load, unload, and transport merchandise, demonstrating heavy lifting techniques and proper merchandising practices. Engage with customers professionally to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and promote upselling opportunities when appropriate. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing daily schedules for optimal efficiency. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details, resolve issues promptly, and build strong customer relationships. Follow all safety protocols during driving, loading, unloading, and vehicle maintenance to ensure a safe working environment. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or retail store delivery is preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, pricing strategies, and basic math skills for handling transactions or calculations. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with clients and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Prior experience in customer service or retail environments is a plus for understanding client relationship building. Familiarity with DOT regulations and commercial driving standards is highly desirable. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
