Delivery Driver
Northern metalsJob Overview Northern Metals is seeking a dependable Driver to transport metal materials and fabricated parts between our shop, suppliers, and customers. This position includes pickups and deliveries, assisting with loading and unloading, and helping with general shop tasks as needed. Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits Hourly Base Salary Based on Experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Requirements Valid driver's license appropriate for the assigned vehicle and an acceptable driving record. A chauffeur license. CDL preferred. Safe driving habits and willingness to follow load securement procedures. Dependable attendance, punctuality, and strong attention to detail. Ability to handle materials and assist with loading and unloading safely. Good communication skills and ability to follow delivery instructions. Comfortable working in a metal fabrication shop and outdoors. Delivery, trailer towing, or material hauling experience preferred. Forklift experience is a plus. Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles for pickups and deliveries. Secure loads properly and check them throughout the trip. Assist with loading and unloading materials and finished parts. Verify quantities and delivery paperwork at pickup and drop-off. Inspect the vehicle before use and report maintenance needs. Keep vehicles clean and maintain accurate delivery records. Communicate delays, material discrepancies, or delivery issues promptly. Represent Northern Metals professionally with customers and suppliers. Assist with material handling and general shop duties between deliveries.
