Delivery Driver

Job requirements Languages English Education No degree, certificate or diploma Experience 1 year to less than 2 years Own Tools/Equipment Steel-toed safety boots Security and Safety Criminal record check, Driver's validity licence check, Bondable, Driving record check (abstract) Transportation/Travel Information Valid driver's licence Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Attention to detail, large workload, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, sitting General Requirements/Qualifications Ability to work well on your own and have strong sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly and safely. You are not afraid of hard work and you are able to perform well in a fast paced and physically demanding environment. · Load and Unload goods according to company procedure. · Handling of frozen, dry & perishable goods · Use of a wheeler to manually deliver cases. Hand bombing will be required. · Adhering to delivery schedules & ensuring prompt delivery of customer orders · Conducting piece count to invoice audits to ensure delivery is complete in full · Must maintain a clean truck at all times · Must be polite, respectful and considerate at all times. · Ability to manage customer inquiries in a professional manor. · Must be reliable and punctual · Excellent knowledge of Calgary & the surrounding area · Working knowledge of log books, vehicle inspections, pre & post trip inspections and reports Transportation/Travel Experience Local, Provincial Type of Trucking and Equipment Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+) or Cargo Van Weight Handling Up to 40 kg (88 lbs) Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.) Class 5 Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles), Air Brakes Endorsement Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week Benefits: Dental care Extended health care On-site parking Work Location: In person
