Delivery Driver

Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at multiple customer locations throughout the day. Load, unload, and secure merchandise or packages using proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury. Engage with customers professionally, answer questions, and build positive relationships to enhance customer satisfaction. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness of the vehicle. Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation in compliance with DOT regulations, and route records for organizational efficiency. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Retail store experience is a plus, especially roles involving customer interaction and merchandising. Demonstrated ability in basic math for calculating pricing adjustments or delivery totals. Strong communication skills for effective client communication and team coordination. Knowledge of route driving strategies and organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Familiarity with sales techniques such as upselling to enhance customer experience and increase sales volume. Experience with heavy lifting and safe lifting practices to handle packages of varying sizes safely.
