Delivery Driver

Overview We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various skills including commercial driving and equipment operation. A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are essential for this position. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations according to schedule Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or heavy machinery when necessary Inspect delivery vehicles regularly to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance Assist with the loading and securing of freight, including heavy or bulky items requiring specialized equipment Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any issues that arise during transit Perform basic vehicle maintenance or repairs as needed, including minor automotive repairs Follow all safety protocols related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record Knowledge of forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and freight management is preferred Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently Basic automotive repair skills for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers Physical ability to lift, load, and unload heavy freight; capable of handling physically demanding tasks Familiarity with safety regulations related to commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling This position offers an engaging work environment where safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction are prioritized.
