Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and execute efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrivals at retail stores or customer locations. Load and unload merchandise with proper handling techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety during heavy lifting. Communicate professionally with clients to confirm deliveries, answer questions, and build strong customer relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintain accurate delivery logs, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and sales performance. Organize merchandise for delivery, ensuring proper merchandising and presentation at each stop. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations to ensure safe transportation practices. Basic math skills for accurate pricing calculations, inventory management, and transaction processing. Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team coordination. Retail store experience or familiarity with merchandising enhances your ability to meet customer needs efficiently.
