Delivery Driver

Please only apply if you are available to start no later than this Wednesday September 30th.** Delivery Driver — Independent Contractor (1099) — not an employee position Company: SaturnV Developments LLC Location: Lake Charles, LA and surrounding areas Settlement: Weekly direct deposit, every Friday Overview: SaturnV Developments contracts with independent delivery drivers to deliver small vendor packages to residential and business customers throughout the Lake Charles area. Contractors operate their own vehicles and run routes as their own business. This is a good fit for self-motivated drivers who want consistent weekly volume and are comfortable running an independent operation. How You're Paid Flat rate per delivery stop: $1.50 Additional rate per extra package at the same stop: $0.25 Routes typically consist of [100-200] stops per day Full-time contractors typically gross $900–$1,500 per week Settlement paid weekly by direct deposit each Friday Contractors are responsible for their own fuel, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and taxes What the Work Involves Picking up assigned packages at the Lake Charles dispatch location (6:30 AM arrival) Completing your route within the delivery window set by the shipper (Before 8:00 PM) Handling packages carefully and capturing proof of delivery through the delivery app Communicating with dispatch about route status, exceptions, and returns Returning any undeliverable packages at the end of the route What You Need Valid driver's license Reliable personal vehicle (car, truck, SUV, or van) Auto insurance Smartphone with a data plan Ability to repeatedly lift and carry packages of 10 lbs or more 21 years of age or older Independent Contractor Status: This is not an employment position; no wages, benefits, overtime, or tax withholding are provided. Contractors are responsible for their own tax obligations and must sign a Independent Contractor Delivery Services Agreement before running routes.
