Delivery Driver

Acadia Atlantic ULC (Acadia Marjam) is a market-leading supplier of drywall, steel studs, insulation, ceiling systems, and premium construction materials. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a reliable, motivated professional to join our Dieppe team and help support our regional supply chain. We are seeking a professional Delivery Driver / Truck Operator with a Class 3 licence. In this role, you will be responsible for moving critical inventory and building materials, managing transport directly between our store locations and local vendors. Inter-Branch Transport construction materials efficiently between retail/warehouse store locations and local supplier/vendor sites. Safe Fleet Operation: Operate company vehicles, trucks, and equipment in a professional, courteous, and lawful manner. Material Handling: Assist in the safe loading and unloading of heavy construction supplies, ensuring all inventory arrives undamaged. Operational Accuracy: Follow routing schedules, verify bills of lading/transfer documents, and execute precise logistical instructions. Qualifications & Requirements Licence: Valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence (Required). Experience: Proven experience working as a commercial delivery driver. Logistics: Reliable independent means of transportation to get to and from work. Core Skills: Basic mathematical skills and strong verbal communication. Reliability: Must be highly punctual and flexible with working hours to accommodate scheduling demands. Preferred Assets Material Handling: Experience handling and delivering heavy materials, specifically drywall and construction supplies. Industry Experience: Prior experience working in a warehousing or multi-stop route environment. Certifications: Current Forklift Certification or Crane operator experience (1 year preferred). Personal Attributes Team Player: Works collaboratively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and vendor representatives. Problem Solver: Adapts quickly to changing traffic conditions, vendor pick-up delays, or scheduling adjustments.
