Delivery Driver

Pick up and deliver cases to customer sites along the designated route, following daily work orders Load, unload, and handle cases carefully so products arrive on time and in excellent condition Complete accurate delivery documentation daily Provide courteous, professional service to customers at each stop Operate the company vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws and DPS safety policies Keep work areas at customer sites clean and orderly to ensure safety for yourself and customers Follow proper accident and incident reporting procedures Keep the assigned vehicle clean and presentable, and promptly report maintenance issues Communicate with the Customer Care team about route changes, delays, or delivery issues Perform other related duties as assigned Behavioral Expectations Puts safety first on the road and at every customer site Maintains a clean, professional appearance that favorably represents DPS Is dependable and manages time well to keep the route on schedule Shows initiative, positivity, and professionalism, and upholds standards of integrity Physical Demands Sit for extended periods while driving Frequently enter and exit the vehicle, and walk and use stairs at customer sites Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds Work Environment Driving in varying traffic and weather conditions, including Iowa winters Regular time outdoors and at customer sites throughout the route Required Valid driver’s license Clean driving record that meets DPS insurance requirements Strong customer service and communication skills Preferred Familiarity with the Cedar Rapids area Previous delivery, courier, or professional driving experience The Delivery Driver operates a DPS vehicle to ensure the safe, timely pickup and delivery of cases to dental offices along a designated route. Because drivers are often the most frequent in-person contact customers have with DPS, this role represents the company professionally at every stop.
