Delivery Driver

Duties Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival at each destination while maintaining accurate delivery schedules. Load, unload, and transport merchandise with care, demonstrating proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent injury. Build strong customer relationships through friendly communication, addressing client needs and inquiries professionally during each delivery. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, utilizing sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and increase revenue. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and route logs for organizational purposes. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving or automobile transportation preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and DOT regulations for commercial vehicles. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and inventory counts accurately. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices; physical stamina is essential. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product handling and presentation. Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in customer service or client relationship building is highly valued.
