Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and meet delivery deadlines. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting practices to prevent damage or injury. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, addressing questions or concerns professionally to foster positive relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to ensure safe transportation. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices. Basic math skills for handling pricing calculations, inventory counts, and transaction processing. Proven ability in customer service and client communication to build lasting relationships. Experience in retail store environments or merchandising is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading processes. Familiarity with DOT regulations, automobile transportation standards, and commercial truck driving requirements.
