Delivery Driver

Surdyk’s is seeking an active, organized individual for a part-time Delivery Driver role, ideal for someone who enjoys staying on the move and working independently. This position supports our catering and retail operations, and will be integral to our success as we enter our busiest seasons. Shifts are based at our Minneapolis catering headquarters located at 2117 West River Rd. Schedule: Fridays and Saturdays , 8-hour day time shifts Occasional shorter on-call shifts throughout the week as needed (flexibility preferred) *Must have Saturday availability to be considered for the position. Key Responsibilities Deliveries Load delivery van and verify items against provided checklists Make deliveries from commissary kitchen to Surdyk’s Liquor & Cheese Shop and client locations throughout the Twin Cities Deliver catering orders and liquor (ID verification required) Plan routes and manage delivery timing Greet clients professionally and ensure complete satisfaction at drop-off Coordinate with Chef and Cheese Shop staff as needed for delivery details Pick up supplies or equipment from vendors when requested Maintain delivery van (fuel, cleanliness, routine maintenance) Loading Dock Duties Pack and organize equipment for events using provided pull sheets Maintain organization of the catering warehouse and delivery areas Receive, check in, clean, and store returned catering equipment Perform general cleaning duties: break down boxes, remove trash/recycling, sweep/mop, etc. Assist other departments as needed, including occasional dishwashing post-event if no dishwasher is scheduled Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Experience in delivery, warehouse, logistics, or catering preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stay active throughout shifts Familiarity with Twin Cities metro area; downtown Minneapolis is particularly important Strong attention to detail and organization Able to multitask and work with a sense of urgency Flexible availability, including Saturdays Compensation Hourly wages $17+ tips Employee discount at Surdyk’s Liquor & Cheese Shop Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Benefits: Flexible schedule Paid sick time Paid training Work Location: In person
