Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles to deliver goods across designated routes. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Load and unload merchandise, practicing safe lifting techniques and heavy lifting practices to prevent injury. Communicate effectively with clients upon delivery, addressing questions and building strong customer relationships. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records while organizing deliveries for maximum efficiency. Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving or commercial truck driving preferred. Strong knowledge of route driving, automobile transportation, and safe lifting practices. Basic math skills for calculating pricing, measurements, and delivery quantities. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Prior retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product handling. Ability to lift heavy packages regularly while maintaining safety standards. Familiarity with DOT regulations, customer service principles, and client communication strategies.
