Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan efficient delivery routes using organizational skills to maximize productivity and minimize delays. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with heavy lifting techniques when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods during transportation. Deliver products directly to retail stores or customer locations while maintaining professionalism and excellent customer service. Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication, addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, leveraging sales skills to enhance customer satisfaction and company revenue. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pricing adjustments, and client interactions for record-keeping and reporting purposes. Follow all safety protocols, including proper automobile transportation procedures and compliance with DOT regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after routes to ensure safety and operational readiness. Assist with merchandising at retail locations as needed to support sales initiatives. Experience Previous experience in commercial driving or heavy vehicle operation preferred; familiarity with route driving is a plus. Retail store experience or customer relationship building background is advantageous for engaging effectively with clients. Knowledge of basic math for calculating pricing, change, or delivery quantities required for daily tasks. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members in a professional manner. Experience in upselling or sales roles that involve promoting products or services successfully. Understanding of DOT regulations related to commercial truck driving and automobile transportation safety standards. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
