DELIVERY DRIVER

Duties Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety practices. Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and ensure on-time arrivals. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, adhering to safe lifting practices for heavy items. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, building strong relationships through friendly and professional interactions. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and meet sales targets. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records to ensure operational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation. Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, merchandising, and retail store operations. Excellent math skills for handling basic calculations related to deliveries and sales transactions. Exceptional communication skills for client interaction and team coordination. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Demonstrated customer service expertise with a focus on building lasting client relationships. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while adhering to schedules. Familiarity with DOT regulations, sales techniques, and upselling strategies.
