Delivery Driver

Part time Monday thru Friday ONLY. 16-22 hours a week. all work is between 9 am and 4pm varies by day of week. No evening or weekends. Load, transport, and deliver batteries, lighting products, and other merchandise to commercial customers and retail stores. Batteries can be up to 75lbs. Some deliveries have dozens of 30+ pound batteries to load, unload, and then load and unload the used batteries to recycle. This can be in the weather as much of the drop-offs are outside in the heat, cold or rain. Navigate local and regional routes efficiently while following all traffic laws and safety procedures. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and keep the company vehicle clean. Pull and stage orders for delivery, receive incoming inventory, and stock shelves. Assist in cycle counts and other inventory management tasks. Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Customer service : Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner at each stop. Answer basic customer questions and check battery voltage onsite Verify and process all delivery paperwork, including invoices and customer signatures. Accurately accept payments, including cash and charge transactions Qualifications and skills Driving requirements : Must be at least 21 years of age. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT medical exam. Physical demands : Ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing 50–75+ pounds regularly. Comfortable with frequent bending, crouching, stooping, and other physical movements. Capacity to sit for long periods while driving and to be on your feet while loading and unloading. General skills : Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Basic computer and technology skills, including the ability to use route management tools. Must be able to use Slack Communication app. Work environment: This is a part-time position that may require flexible scheduling. In the beginning the role will be weekdays. Could change with expanded role.
