Delivery Driver (1st Shift 6a-230p) Oerlikon is seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Delivery Driver to support our Agawam production facility. In this role you will be responsible for operating company vans and delivery vehicles to ensure the timely and accurate pickup and delivery of customer products to and from the Agawam coating facility. This role involves loading and unloading materials, goods, and equipment between various destinations as assigned. The Delivery Driver also prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods. When not performing delivery duties, the Delivery Driver will support facility operations by assisting with production-related tasks and other assigned responsibilities. Your Responsibilities: Perform timely and accurate pickup and delivery of customer parts Maintain delivery logs and shipping documentation with a high level of accuracy Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication Ensure company vehicle is properly maintained, serviced, and kept clean Safely load and unload customer parts, following handling requirements Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices Represent Oerlikon Balzers positively at customer locations and while on the road Your Profile: High school diploma or equivalent Previous driving or delivery experience preferred Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Strong customer service and verbal/written communication skills Dependable, punctual, and detail‑oriented Ability to manage time effectively and work independently Experience with Microsoft Office Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g.; drills, etc.) preferred, but not required Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detailed-oriented A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required. General Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 44 lbs. Frequent handling of materials or products. Ability to stand or walk for 8–12 hours per shift. Moving between workstations or throughout the facility. Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, or reaching overhead. Handling items at various heights. Ability to use hands and fingers for grasping, assembling, or operating tools/machinery. Good hand-eye coordination. Occasionally climbing ladders, step stools, or stairs. Ability to read labels, instructions, and safety signs. Hearing alarms or verbal instructions in noisy environments. Working in hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
