Delivery Driver

Responsibilities Safely operate various types of vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity while maintaining punctuality. Load and unload merchandise with proper lifting techniques, ensuring heavy items are handled safely. Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns professionally. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records to ensure smooth operations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly to prevent disruptions. Build strong customer relationships through friendly interactions, reliable service, and professional communication skills. Experience Prior experience in commercial driving or automobile transportation is highly preferred. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Demonstrated ability in sales or upselling techniques to enhance revenue opportunities. Knowledge of pricing strategies and basic math skills for handling transactions or measurements. Familiarity with route driving, client communication, and organizational skills necessary for managing multiple deliveries efficiently. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving is advantageous. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members while adhering to DOT regulations.
