Delivery Driver
Euro USADescription: Position Summary The Driver will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes in a safe driving manner, checking in orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service to our client base. Duties and Responsibilities Load, transport, and deliver items to clients or businesses on assigned route in a safe, timely manner Complete any needed deliveries/pickups outside of typically assigned routes Contact Logistics Manager or Receiving Warehouse Manager when pickups are made so Cleveland can be notified Contact Logistics Manager or sales associate when there are any issues with deliveries Report to work at the scheduled time and in the Euro USA uniform and any navigation devices Check in orders to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied Assist with loading and unloading items from vehicles Accept payments on occasion Provide excellent customer service Adhere to assigned routes and follow time schedules Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record including E-logs when required Maintain cleanliness of truck cab and refrigerated box Prepare reports and other documents relating to deliveries Obtain customer signature acknowledging delivery and note on the invoice any product not on truck, damaged or refused Check in at end of shift with QC (Quality Control) Manager regarding returned product and pallets Perform loader/wrapper duties, as needed o Wrap pallets of items pulled and staged. o Maintain an organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safety. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with clean driving record CDL-A/B or C may be required to operate certain vehicles Minimum one year of experience required Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and DOT regulations Strong time management and customer service skills Must possess a positive and professional attitude Attention to detail Working Conditions Required to move/lift up to 85 lbs. Driver will be outside in all weather conditions Sitting, driving, lifting, and carrying up to 85 lbs. for an extended period of time Climbing stairs while lifting and carrying up to 85 lbs. necessary at some customer locations Position spends 6 – 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing and sitting.
