Delivery Assistant (white glove delivery)

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Delivery Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of appliances, equipment, and supplies to our valued customers. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of tools and equipment, supporting our service technicians and logistics operations. Your proactive attitude and mechanical aptitude will help us deliver exceptional service while maintaining safety and quality standards. Duties Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting appliances and equipment using company vehicles. Support service technicians with appliance installation, repair, and maintenance tasks at customer sites. Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment to troubleshoot and install appliances or household goods. Help conduct equipment inspections, identify issues through troubleshooting processes, and perform minor repairs or escalate complex problems appropriately. Ensure all safety protocols are followed during delivery and installation activities, including proper use of delivery equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and customer interactions to ensure transparency and quality control. Requirements Experience with appliance installation, or field service roles; familiarity with service technician procedures is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, electrical testers safely and effectively. Experience operating company vehicles such as box trucks or similar large vehicles; valid driver’s license required. Knowledge of basic appliance troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for complex repair tasks. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients during installations or repairs. Physical ability to lift heavy objects safely, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks in various environments.
