Delivery and Warehouse Attendant

Job Type: Full-Time Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Pay: Starting Pay $18 Start Date: Immediate opening Job Description: Butler Lighting is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a full-time Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate. This is a hands-on position involving local deliveries, warehouse operations, inventory management, and assembling and hanging lighting fixtures in our showroom. We are looking for someone who is organized, comfortable using tools, able to multitask, and willing to learn. Previous electrical experience is a plus, but not required. We can provide training for the lighting-related tasks. Primary Responsibilities: Local Deliveries Deliver lighting fixtures and merchandise to customers, generally within approximately one hour of our Myrtle Beach store. Safely load, transport, and unload merchandise. Maintain a clean driving record and operate company vehicles responsibly. Warehouse and Inventory Receive incoming freight shipments and check merchandise for accuracy. Enter received inventory into our computerized inventory tracking system. Organize, move, and store merchandise in the warehouse. Prepare outgoing shipments and customer orders. Use a forklift to unload freight deliveries when necessary (training provided if needed). Lighting Showroom and Fixture Assembly Assemble and disassemble lighting fixtures. Install, hang, remove, and rearrange lighting fixtures in the showroom. Perform basic fixture wiring and connections as trained and authorized. Work safely on ladders throughout the day when installing or removing display fixtures. Assist showroom staff with hands-on tasks and occasional customer needs, including locating replacement light bulbs. Qualifications Required: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory software. Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand tools. Comfortable working on ladders and handling lighting fixtures. Ability to lift, carry, and move warehouse merchandise safely. Rarely moving any items over 50 pounds. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work independently. Reliable, punctual, and motivated. Helpful but Not Required: Experience in warehouse operations or local deliveries. Basic electrical knowledge or experience working with lighting fixtures. Experience operating a forklift. Familiarity with lighting products, light bulbs, or electrical supplies. What to Expect Most mornings begin with local deliveries, followed by receiving freight, organizing inventory, and assisting with lighting fixture assembly and showroom displays. This is primarily a warehouse, delivery, and hands-on position, with minimal customer-facing responsibilities.
