Position Summary The Distribution Center (DC) Scheduling Lead is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound carrier appointments, dock scheduling, shipment documentation, and administrative support within Consolidated Supply Co.'s automated distribution center. This role may support inbound or outbound operations based on business needs while ensuring accurate scheduling, carrier communication, and efficient dock utilization. Working closely with DC Operations Managers and Leads, the Scheduling DC Lead provides the scheduling information, trailer availability, and shipment visibility needed to support daily shift planning and operational execution. This position serves as the primary liaison between carriers and DC warehouse operations, helping ensure shipments move safely, accurately, and on schedule. The DC Scheduling Lead works in both office and operational environments, including the warehouse, dock, and yards, and plays a key role in maintaining communication, documentation accuracy, and operational flow throughout the day. Key Responsibilities Coordinate inbound and outbound carrier appointments using warehouse management and scheduling systems to maximize dock utilization and support daily operational plans Monitor appointment schedules, trailer availability, and shipment volumes while communicating scheduling changes, delays, capacity constraints, and exceptions to Operations Managers and warehouse teams Serve as the primary point of contact for carriers, brokers, and transportation partners regarding appointment scheduling, shipment status, and dock coordination Process and maintain shipment documentation including bills of lading (BOLs), packing lists, delivery receipts, and carrier check-in/check-out records Verify shipment information within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and scheduling platforms to ensure data accuracy and inventory traceability Identify and communicate discrepancies involving purchase orders, shipment documentation, or carrier activity to Operations Managers for timely resolution Maintain accurate scheduling records, dock visibility tools, appointment logs, and operational reports to support daily management and planning …
