Position Summary The Distribution Center (DC) Lead is a working lead responsible for supporting the daily execution of warehouse operations within Consolidated Supply Co.'s automated distribution center. This position may be assigned to one of four functional areas: Inbound Receiving, Inventory Control, Outbound , or Outbound Dock, depending on operational needs. The DC Lead serves as the operational link between the Operations Manager and front-line employees by helping execute daily shift plans, coordinating workflow, reinforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring consistent execution of standard work within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) directed environment. This is a hands-on leadership role that works alongside the team while providing real-time coaching, guidance, and support. The DC Lead helps onboard and train employees, communicates daily priorities, monitors operational performance throughout the shift, and provides performance observations to the Operations Manager. While this position does not conduct formal performance evaluations or administer corrective action, it plays an important role in developing employees and driving operational consistency. Key Responsibilities Support daily warehouse operations within assigned functional , including inbound receiving, inventory control, outbound dock, or outbound picking Assist the Operations Manager with shift execution, labor assignments, workflow balancing, and daily operational priorities Track and communication plan versus actual performance, identifying bottlenecks and escalating issues that impact safety, quality, or productivity Reinforce standard work, WMS-directed processes, and inventory accuracy through hands-on leadership and coaching Promote and model a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with company safety policies, PPE requirements, and applicable OSHA, DOT, EPA, and NFPA regulations Conduct pre-shift safety checks and communicate equipment, automation, or facility concerns promptly Support safe operation of material handling equipment (MHE) and report equipment or automation issues to Operations and aintenance Coach, train, onboard, and cross-train team members while reinforcing quality expectations and safe work practices Maintain strong housekeeping and 5S standards throughout assigned work areas Support Lean and contin…
