Daycare Transportation Driver

Overview Join our team as a Daycare Transportation Driver and play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of children to and from daycare & school. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for maintaining high safety standards while fostering a welcoming environment for children, parents, and staff alike. This paid position emphasizes safety, communication, and compassion in every mile traveled. Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM) Wednesday (11:00 AM – 2:00 PM) Responsibilities Safely operate vehicles including school buses, transit buses, or specialized childcare transport vans in accordance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations. Transport children & ensuring timely arrivals and departures while adhering to scheduled routes. Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents, including emergency stop procedures and child safety protocols. Knowledge of traffic laws, transportation safety regulations, and state/local driving laws. Ensure children are properly secured using the appropriate seat belt, car seat, or booster seat when required. Maintain appropriate supervision and professional conduct with children while transporting them. Follow all Aunty’s Place transportation, child-safety, and vehicle procedures. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure all safety features are functional; report any maintenance issues promptly. Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the company vehicle. Immediately report vehicle concerns, accidents, incidents, delays, or transportation-related issues to the Director. Mimimum Requirements Be atleast 25 years of age. Possess a current and valid Washington State Drivers License. Have a safe and responsible driving history. Successfully complete and maintain an approved Washington State DCYF background check and required DCYF trainings. Dedependable, punctual, attentive, and comfortable working with children. Note: This position is compensated at a predetermined flat rate based on the established transportation schedule and responsibilities. A company vehicle is provided for all required transportation. Pay: $18.85 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week Work Location: On the road
