Day Warehouse Associate - Receiving

Job Title: Day Warehouse Associate 
Location: Des Moines, IA

Join Loffredo Fresh Foods as a Full Time Day Warehouse Receiver based out of our Des Moines Branch. We are a local, family-owned food and produce distributor that has proudly served the Midwest region for over 130 years. As a Day Warehouse Receiver, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring that all freight is being received, unloaded, and entered in the system correctly. You will be responsible for navigating the warehouse, receive/unload inbound freight, and use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks. Your attention to detail and efficiency will help maintain the high standards of service our customers expect.

Pay: $16

Schedule: 

• Days Working: Sunday - Thursday 
• Days Off: Friday & Saturday 
• 6:30 AM till complete

What we look for:

• Previous warehouse and pallet jack experience preferred
• Able to work in a refrigerated environment for 8+ hours
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 75+ lbs. occasionally
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to take direction from all levels of management
• Ability to work independently within a team setting
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English for the automated headset

What you’ll do:

• SAFETY FIRST. Must be able to safely operation warehouse equipment at all times and follow all safety guidelines
• Receive/Unload inbound freight and put away
• Accurately select and pack orders for shipment, both internally and externally
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• All other assigned duties
