Able GroupStand-Up Forklift Shipper / Receiver Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Consumer Products Distribution About the Role We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Stand-Up Forklift Shipper / Receiver to join our warehouse team. This is a hands-on position responsible for the accurate receiving, put-away, picking, packing, inventory handling, and shipping of products . Forklift operation is about 10% of the job. Accuracy is critical in this role. The successful candidate will take pride in double-checking product information, following established inventory procedures, and ensuring every order is correct before it leaves the warehouse. Key Responsibilities Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments Check quantities, SKUs, lot numbers, expiry dates, UPC codes, product condition, and documentation Put received inventory away in approved warehouse locations Follow established lot-control, FIFO, quarantine, and inventory-handling procedures Ensure inventory movements accurately entered in the ERP/WMS system Complete cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies Identify and document dead stock, slow-moving, damaged, missing, returned, or questionable inventory Order Picking & Shipping Pick customer orders accurately according to sales orders and customer shipping requirements Verify SKU and UPC codes before packing Double-check quantities, lot numbers, labels, and product condition before shipment Pack products securely to minimize damage during transportation Prepare orders and shipments accurately and on schedule Palletize and wrap shipments safely and securely Forklift & Warehouse Operations Operate a stand-up forklift safely and responsibly Follow all workplace safety procedures and warehouse protocols Maintain clean and organized aisles, storage areas, equipment, and workstations Report safety hazards, product damage, inventory issues, and equipment problems promptly Assist with general warehouse duties and other tasks assigned by management Qualifications & Skills Previous experience in shipping, receiving, order picking, or warehouse operations Demonstrated experience operating a stand-up forklift Valid forklift certification is preferred Strong ability to accurately read and verify SKU and UPC codes Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good organizational and time-management skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Ability to follow written procedures and established processes Physically capable of performing general warehouse duties, including lifting, moving, loading, and unloading products What We Expect Accuracy and reliability are essential to this position.
