The Data Center Outbound Transportation Specialist owns end-to-end outbound transportation execution for data center shipments, managing movement from warehouses through final delivery to customer or integrator locations. Serving as the primary over-the-road (OTR) transportation contact for assigned data center project movements, this role ensures superior on-time performance, continuous shipment visibility, capacity allocation, and swift resolution of transportation exceptions and service recoveries. Key Responsibilities Outbound Operational Execution: Oversee daily outbound shipments from warehouses through final delivery, including track-and-trace monitoring, appointment coordination, capacity procurement, and expedited freight management. Carrier & Exception Management: Serve as primary over-the-road contact, escalating carrier performance issues, executing service recovery plans, and managing transportation exceptions proactively. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with internal project teams, warehouse operations, customer service, and external carriers to protect on-time commitments. Analytics & Network Improvement: Support carrier performance evaluations, transportation cost and budget initiatives, reporting analytics, and system/network optimization. Core Metrics / Priorities On-Time Delivery (OTD) Cost Management & Optimization Quality & Effective Issue Resolution Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 7 years of prior transportation/logistics experience Pay Range The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed. Other Compensation This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
