You will perform logistics operations within a data center environment, supporting inventory management, asset tracking, hardware handling, and equipment deployment. This role helps maintain smooth data center operations by receiving, preparing, installing, and managing technology assets according to established procedures.
• Handle incoming and outgoing hardware, including servers, parts, and cables.
• Manage inventory, asset tagging, and tracking systems to maintain accurate records.
• Stage equipment for installation and deployment activities.
• Install servers through rack and stack activities, connect power and network cables, and troubleshoot basic hardware issues.
• Prepare hardware before deployment by completing labeling, configuration, and quality checks.
• Perform routine data center hardware installation tasks, including equipment identification, cable placement, documentation, and housekeeping.
• Respond quickly to alerts and incidents to help minimize downtime.
• Perform server maintenance, upgrades, troubleshooting, and outage resolution activities.
• Monitor environmental conditions to help prevent overheating, outages, or infrastructure damage.
• Maintain data center security protocols by controlling access to systems and facilities.
• Protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Experience of Data Center Logistics Specialist:
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to utilize computers and related systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a data center environment is desirable.
