Dairy Commodity Sales Trader

Chicago Dairy is seeking an experienced Dairy Commodity Sales Trader to expand our market presence in the dairy industry. As a self-starter with physical commodity trading experience, you will build and run a book of business. Responsibilities: Develop and manage a book of business for physical dairy commodity trading. Analyze market trends, supply, and demand to inform trading decisions. Proactively seek new business opportunities and cultivate client relationships. Collaborate with the research team to develop trading strategies. Execute trades in compliance with regulations and risk management guidelines. Qualifications: Proven experience in dairy commodity or physical commodity trading. Strong market knowledge and data-driven decision-making skills. Excellent sales, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Agribusiness, or related field. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. Total compensation for this role will be based on a combination of base salary and a commission structure tied to the individual trader's Profit and Loss (PnL). This is a physical commodity trading role and not a screen-trading or proprietary futures-trading position. Futures and options are used for hedging and customer price structuring. Traders at Chicago Dairy build and manage supplier and customer relationships, buy and sell physical dairy products, negotiate commercial terms, coordinate execution and logistics, and ultimately own the profitability of their business.
