Role Description The Cut Flower Buyer role is a full-time, on-site position located in Denver, Colorado. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing fresh cut flowers from domestic and international suppliers, managing inventory levels, and ensuring product quality meets company standards and customer expectations. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing sales and inventory reports, placing purchase orders, negotiating pricing and terms with vendors, and coordinating delivery schedules with logistics and warehouse teams. The Cut Flower Buyer collaborates closely with sales, merchandising, and operations to plan seasonal assortments, respond to customer demand, and reduce waste through effective forecasting. This position also monitors market trends, evaluates new suppliers and products, and supports continuous improvement of purchasing processes and floral assortment strategies. Qualifications Experience in purchasing, buying, procurement or sales of fresh cut flowers. Strong skills in inventory management, forecasting, and demand planning to balance availability, freshness, and cost. Ability to analyze sales data, margin performance, and supplier metrics to support sound purchasing decisions. Effective communication and relationship-building skills for working with suppliers, internal teams, and customers. Attention to detail and quality standards to ensure product consistency, proper grading, and presentation. Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities and seasonal peaks. Basic proficiency with spreadsheets, ERP or inventory systems, and general office software. Knowledge of floral varieties, seasons, and global sourcing regions is highly beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Denver, Colorado, including occasional early hours or weekend coverage as needed. Relevant education or training in supply chain, business, agribusiness, or a related field is a plus.
