Customs Specialist

We’re currently recruiting for a Customs Specialist to join an established freight forwarding and customs brokerage company. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and grow their career within the customs and freight forwarding industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in US customs brokerage and be confident managing customs entries, ensuring compliance and resolving clearance issues. An active Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) qualification is beneficial. Responsibilities: Prepare, review and submit US customs entries accurately and efficiently. Ensure compliance with US Customs regulations and requirements. Review shipping documentation, HTS classifications and valuations. Liaise with customers, carriers, customs officials and internal teams. Resolve customs clearance issues, holds and delays. Maintain accurate records and ensure entries are processed within required timeframes. Support the wider team with customs-related queries and day-to-day operations. Requirements: Previous experience in customs entry writing or customs brokerage. Good knowledge of US Customs regulations and clearance procedures. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. An active LCB qualification is preferred but not essential. Salary: Flexible, depending on experience and qualifications.
