Position Overview As a Customs Entry Writer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring shipments are cleared through U.S. Customs efficiently. You’ll work closely with customers, government agencies, and internal teams to manage documentation, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Process and submit customs entries accurately and in a timely manner. Classify shipments using HTS (experience with cosmetics is a plus) Work with OGAs (FDA, USDA, F&W, etc.) to ensure compliance. Review and reconcile duty statements Familiarity with CargoWise. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to resolve entry-related issues. Qualifications & Skills: 2-5 years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer . Applicants who do not meet this experience requirement should not apply. Microsoft Office experience. CargoWise experience. Strong classification skills and knowledge of customs regulations. Familiarity with FDA, USDA, Carnets, and other regulatory agencies. A Broker’s License is not required but will be additionally compensated. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail. Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player who upholds ALPI’s values.
