Customs Compliance Analyst(Customs Brokerage)

Requirements Critical Thinking Reading Comprehension Active Listening Monitoring Reports A good understanding of US Customs Procedures Including USMCA, Valuation, HTS, 19 CFR Bilingual in English and Spanish JOB RESPONSABILITIES Resolve daily compliance issues that are reported by CBP, Customers or other company departments. Make sure complaints, internal errors and risks are accounted for, documented, and resolved in a timely manner. Other duties as assigned COMPLIANCE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Communicate with different government agencies involved with the import/export process. Classify merchandise using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule. Complete new client profile documentation and account set up. Assist potential new customers with guidance on import/export requirements. Coordinate intensive exams of imports at the port of entry and destructions for all agencies Coordinate merchandise redelivery, temporary imports to U.S. Customs Port of Entry when needed, Country of Origin Marking File single and continuous transaction bonds. Keep client/employees informed of the regulations that apply to their specific import/export operation. Maintain logs for the compliance department operation. Respond to CF28 and CF29 forms.
