Customs Broker

We are seeking a Customs Broker to join our growing operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to manage different facets of the industry About the Role The individual would be responsible for processing import shipments, classifying goods using Harmonized System (HS) codes, and ensuring compliance with Canadian customs regulations. This role plays a key part in keeping freight moving efficiently while maintaining accuracy and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities Classification & Rating Classify products accurately using HS codes Determine applicable tariff treatments, duties, and taxes Documentation & Release Prepare and process customs entries and releases in a timely manner Utilize systems such as CADEX to facilitate shipment clearance Compliance Ensure compliance with CBSA regulations and applicable government agencies (CFIA, NRCan, etc.) Maintain accurate records and documentation Communication Act as a liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams Resolve documentation discrepancies and provide updates on shipment status Troubleshooting Investigate and resolve rejected entries or transmission errors Identify and correct data inconsistencies Qualifications & Requirements Post-secondary education in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred Experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or a related field Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong written and verbal communication skills Additional Information This is a role with growth potential Job Type: Full-time Pay: $1,000.00-$1,500.00 per week Benefits: Extended health care Work Location: In person
