Customs Analyst

Akkodis is looking for an ECC Professional 1 with experience in U.S. Customs / Trade Compliance and HTSUS classification . Pay rate: $30-35/hr (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors) Position: ECC Professional Work Location: Remote Contract Duration: 6 Months contract (possible extension) Key Responsibilities: Classify products, equipment, materials, components, and spare parts under HTSUS . Research and apply GRIs, CBP CROSS rulings, Explanatory Notes, and customs regulations . Analyze engineering drawings, product specifications, supplier information, and technical documentation. Prepare detailed classification justifications for compliance and audit readiness . Partner with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Customs Operations, and Regulatory Compliance teams. Support customs audits, classification reviews, binding rulings, tariff updates, and revalidation activities. Maintain classification data and support process improvement and governance initiatives. Required Skills: Strong knowledge of HTSUS classification principles Experience with U.S. Customs regulations and CBP rulings Strong analytical and technical-documentation skills Trade compliance / customs classification experience Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred: Experience in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, global trade, customs audits, or classification governance.
