Customer Service - Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Functions Receiving Set up incoming orders with job travelers with proper specification requirements and references per guidance from Shipping Manager and General Manager. Instructions or specifications that are not clear must be brought to the attention of a manager for clarification. Receiving and Shipping Clerks may contact the customer directly for clarification per guidance from a Manager. Count and inspect parts for defects. Photograph parts not already in the library of parts photos for each customer. Notify customer of any missing parts or defects found. Complete job process traveler and any other required order documents. Copy receiving documents for Order Entry. Staging Stage orders to production areas based upon daily Production Schedule Highlight any unusual customer requirements/exceptions related to an order to inspectors or platers when delivering a job to production Shipping Monitor the Expedite list in Shipping office and highlight shipment timing requirements to Inspectors on expedite orders Prepare shipping and customer documents for all finished orders Arrange for delivery or pick-up of customer parts Collect and organize order documents for Invoicing Customer Service Be courteous and professional to drivers, customers, and other third parties via e-mail, calling on the phone or when arriving in shipping and receiving Promote the “quality image” of Turn-Key Coatings with all third parties As Needed Clean, rack or wire parts per the instructions of inspectors, managers, or other qualified personnel Measure plating thickness on completed parts per the instruction of a Manager Flexibility to help in other areas as needed Requirements A fine eye for detail and developing an understanding of TKC quality standards for metal finishing Must be fluent in verbal and written English Must be computer literate – email, online reference files, printing order and shipping documents.
