Customer Service Representative (For Pooling)

About the Job We are seeking an experienced order desk professional to join our Customer Service team at our head office in Edmonton. This role is critical to maintaining Inland Industrial’s commitment to understanding customer service and driving continued business growth. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for nurturing existing accounts and delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for customer service within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities · Deliver excellent customer service by building rapport and proactively following up with clients · Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential new accounts · Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product recommendations and solutions · Prepare accurate quotations and provide technical product information · Stay informed on industry products, services, and trends · Manage customer sales quotes, sales orders, production orders, and service returns · Collaborate closely with the account managers to support customer needs and resolve concerns Skills and Abilities · Strong ability to understand customer needs and identify sales opportunities · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident phone presence · Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment · Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, solution-focused approach · High sense of urgency and strong work ethic Qualifications · Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial order desk setting. · Experienced in processing high-volume orders with accuracy and speed · Industry knowledge in safety and MRO or construction consumables · Candidates should be comfortable working with and sourcing for products such as safety products (PPE), power tools, hand tools, material handling products, abrasives, janitorial supplies, welding supplies, general MRO consumables. · Strong understanding of industrial distribution and the supply chain processes · Experience with SAP systems (an asset but not required) · Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook About the Company: Inland Industrial Supply Ltd. is a proudly Canadian-owned company specializing in the distribution of industrial tools, equipment, and personal protective gear.
