Customer Ser vice Representative Location: Dallas, TX Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. This is an onsite position. Position Overview The Customer Service Representative works the front counter and is often the first person our customers deal with. The job is to help contractors get what they need quickly and accurately, keep them informed on their orders, and build good working relationships with the customers who come in every week. Most of the day is spent at the counter, with some warehouse work when the branch is busy. Responsibilities Greet walk-in customers promptly and respond to phone calls and emails in a timely manner. Pull, check, and stage orders so customers can get in and out quickly. Get to know regular customers and how they like their orders handled. Learn our product lines and help customers find the right parts and equipment for their jobs. Enter orders, invoices, and returns accurately. Keep customers informed about delivery times and order status Let customers know about backorders or delays as soon as possible and follow up until the issue is resolved. Handle customer complaints professionally and work to resolve them. Coordinate with the warehouse to keep orders moving, and help with warehouse tasks when needed. Keep the counter and showroom clean and organized, and help maintain inventory accuracy. Follow all branch safety procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Customer service, counter, or warehouse experience preferred. Knowledge of HVAC equipment and parts is a plus. Good communication skills in person, on the phone, and by email. Able to stay patient and friendly during busy periods. Comfortable using Microsoft Office, POS, and warehouse management systems. Able to lift 20 to 50 pounds or more, work in a warehouse setting, and use ladders.
