Customer Service & Parts Advisor

LJ Patterson Sales & Service LTD is looking for an experienced Service & Parts Advisor to join our team. We’re looking for someone who understands the service and parts environment, knows how to work with customers and technicians, and is ready to build a long-term career with a company that values experience, reliability, accountability, and commitment . The Role You’ll play a key role in our service department, connecting customers, technicians, parts, and management to ensure work moves efficiently from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include: Writing accurate and detailed repair orders Listening to customer concerns and gathering the information required to properly understand the job Communicating customer concerns and repair requirements clearly to technicians Managing service workflow, priorities, timelines, and customer expectations Communicating repair updates, recommendations, and completion timelines to customers Reviewing technician findings and explaining recommended repairs to customers Identifying and recommending required parts, maintenance, and repairs Coordinating parts requirements to ensure technicians have the necessary parts to complete jobs Assisting with parts identification and sourcing when required Following up on open work orders, backordered parts, and outstanding repairs Maintaining accurate and complete work orders and documentation Ensuring customers receive professional, timely, and knowledgeable service from the initial contact through to completion What You Bring Previous Service Advisor, Parts Advisor, or related dealership/service experience is an asset Strong mechanical, equipment, automotive, powersports, agricultural, or industrial knowledge is an asset The ability to understand customer concerns and communicate them effectively to technicians Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent communication and customer service skills The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy The ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities at the same time A willingness to learn new products, systems, and processes A mindset focused on accuracy, accountability, and getting it right the first time What We’re Really Looking For We’re not looking for someone who is simply looking for another job.
