Customer Relations & Sales Specialist Thames & Kosmos | Providence, RI ABOUT THE ROLE Thames & Kosmos is a leading producer of STEM kits, educational toys, and board games. Our products are designed to spark curiosity and help students learn through hands-on exploration. We partner with educators, families, and schools to make learning more engaging, meaningful, and fun. This in-office position supports the daily operations of our Wholesale Customer Service department and works closely with our Sales, Accounting, Purchasing, and Inventory Planning teams. It requires a team player with exceptional customer service communication skills and a high proficiency for detail-oriented data entry. A desire to learn, build, and play with our products is also a must! WHAT YOU'LL DO Primary Responsibilities Daily Customer Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and professional phone and email support to wholesale customers, sales reps, and consumers. Order Processing: Efficiently and accurately process time-sensitive wholesale orders and account setup forms using multiple software platforms. ERP Data Integrity: Maintain accurate pricing and product availability in the ERP system through meticulous data entry and inventory management. Key Account Fulfillment Liaison: Bridge key account sales team and fulfillment operations to ensure on-time shipping, actively troubleshooting roadblocks and escalating critical issues when necessary. Product & Policy Expertise: Develop a deep knowledge of our product line and sales policies to effectively guide retailers, consumers, and sales representatives toward optimal product solutions. 3PL Coordination: Communicate daily with 3rd-party fulfillment partners to ensure compliance with customer order requirements and maintain on-time shipment. Returns & Credits: Process wholesale and retail customer returns, issuing credits or refunds promptly. Credit Support: Assist the credit department in conducting credit checks for new accounts. Payment Processing: Securely process credit card transactions. Operations & Service Level Agreement (SLA) Tracking: Assist with operational reporting and take action to ensure order fulfillment service level goals are met. Secondary Responsibilities (as needed) Assist our product technical support team field phone and email inquiries and ship replacement parts.. Build product models for Sales and Marketing needs such as trade shows and media promotions. Shipping and receiving (low volume, small shipments).
